Alyson is a 2016 University of Kansas graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Leadership with a concentration in Entrepreneurship.
During her four years at KU she worked in the banking and financial industry.
Alyson comes from a farming and insurance family. Her grandfather Dale Harkins founded Thomas County Insurance in Colby, while also maintaining a farm in Cheyenne county KS.
She is daughter of Travis and Sara Oliver who started an insurance agency in Lawrence and Oskaloosa Kansas. They took over Thomas County Insurance and have since continued growing the family business.
Alyson is actively engaged in the Lawrence, KS community through volunteer work, attending business community events, and participation in fundraisers for organizations such as Just Food, Lawrence Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and more. In her free time, she enjoys boating at the lake, playing/watching sports, attending Chiefs/KU games, and spending time with friends and family.
